I had the privilege of seeing the no.1 film in Japan & 2nd Anime to top the US box office in IMAX format last night (Thank you for the invite, Funimation UK & Cineworld). Even with a bad knee, I was on the edge of my seat by the end of the film because for all it's worth, Mugen Train was an amazing trip from beginning to end & my only gripe is that you'll only get to experience it once. It is ufotable's best work yet (Though one would hope Heaven's Feel III would prove otherwise, we'll see!).

Mugen Train is a sequel film, picking up right where the end of 2019's first season left off with our hero Tanjiro continuing his journey with his friends, the cowardly Zenitsu & the wild boar masked Inosuke to find a cure for his demon sister Nezuko & exact revenge on the demon slaughtered his family in their home & turned Nezuko into a demon. That journey took him to the Demon Slayer Corps who sent them on a mission to investigate a train that has been run by a demon named Enmu, sent by the demon who killed Tanjiro's family. Tanjiro & his friends are accompanied by the charismatic & instant favourite Kyōjurō Rengoku who is one of the demon slayer corps elite members known as The Hashira.
